sweet persimmon

Had a wonderful visit to Baltimore, especially staying in the Federal Hill neighborhood. This also meant great little places to eat. On the busiest night out as the Ravens were about to play the next morning, everyone occupied restaurants and bars with big screen TVs to watch the play-offs. Luckily for us that meant trying Byblos, a Lebanese restaurant, which only had a few people dining there. The owners were extremely friendly and the place was quite cozy. I tried the veggie kebbeh, which was bulgur wheat, stuffed spinach and chickpeas with spices. The snoubra was something I’ve never had before and loved - whole grain bulgur wheat, sweet roasted red peppers, potato, onion, pine nuts and olive oil.
